Am I ready for this, seriously ALREADY?

My baby started K-5 today.... I am still in shock. Is it really possible? How did time go by so fast? Seems like I just had him and I was there teaching myself, which everyone else seemingly reminded me when I went to drop Jordan off! It goes by fast, my friends, its true!!

He said he had a FABULOSO day with his absolutely wonderful teacher and our dear friend, Mrs. McCammack! He woke up today (Saturday) saying, "Mom, you forgot to lay out my clothes for school today?" I think we have an organized plan going on here for once, haha! I thought that was so cute, he has no sense of time (since he woke up around 8:30am but when it comes to school and getting ready, he's good to go anytime of the day--I hope that stays that way next week and second semester, ha ha)!
He loved his first day (yesterday- 1/2 day) he said he colored a cowboy hat, cut it out and put stickers on it, played at the park (recess) had his snack and got to know his friends in class! He can't wait for Monday to get here! (I think he is going to be quite the "talkative" one in class and very "active" since his class has mainly ALL boys and very few girls)! Will have to keep you posted on that one!

Now on to what we did while Jordan was in school his first day.......Jared has been having really high temps (103,104+) every 2 weeks for the last few months that last a few days. His throat is beefy red and very sore and he'll sometimes throw up so I took him to the pediatricians and they said they wanted him to have some blood taken and tested for mono, check his white blood cell count, electrolytes etc. Now....... Jared has never even had his shots (well a few when he was about 9 months old) but doesnt' remember them...I was very worried about him getting his blood drawn. We go to the immediate care place where they sent us so they could do it and we get in right away, praise the Lord (I have Jaden with us). We all went to the room with the 2 nurses, they ask Jared to lay down on the cot, at first he didn't know what to think and then the unthinkable happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM STILL IN SHOCK at this child of mine! He just lays there and lets them take his blood.....NO SQUIRMING, NO WINCING, NO TEARS, NO SCREAMS, NO NOTHING.....JUST LOOKING UP STRAIGHT AT ME THE WHOLE TIME WITH HIS BIG BLUE EYES......HE WAS SUCH A PRO AND I WAS SO PROUD OF HIM I THINK I HAD TEARS COMING OUT OF MY EYES!! Let me tell you the nurses just showered him with gifts....it was such a neat sight! We won't know the results til Monday! Appreciate your prayers! (by the time we got done with that we went to the park for 15 minutes then went to get Jordan---was a pretty fast day!!!!)

AND...... A HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR NIECE, MIKAYLA!!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!

oh I am crying now. Such grown up boys you have. I remember Clay was about kindergarden age when he had the same test for the same reason. Nothing came of it but he said the test was fine. "it doesn't hurt going out like it does going in (shots). He was great that day too. Hope my boy feels better.

Sweet Heather, I am praying for you. Way to go, Jordan-I am excited that you were such a A+ student on the first day. Boy, did you do great at the Dr. office, Jared!
