end of summer/school fun!

I took the older two boys to the Channahon Festival last weekend and it was so funny! Jordan would do many things, but Jared wouldn't....I wish I had the video set up to watch the race car ride they were both on----Jared was about to jump off, I"ll just say! He got off the ride saying, "Mom, I didn't like that race car"

Jordan

Jared

this is the great race car ride I was talking about!

Jordan having fun!

This was at the very end when they just wanted to
sit and watch the rides go around and around really
really fast!!! They were in awe!

I had a Sunday School party at the park near my
house...this is just a handful of them......yes, Jordan
is now in my class of 1st-3rd graders....I can't believe it!

I JUST HAVE TO POST THIS!!!!!
I GOT THIS SLIDE FOR $30 IS THAT CRAZY
OR WHAT!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!

THIS IS WHERE THESE 3 STAYED THE ENTIRE
TIME...HA HA

JARED IS OFFICIALLY ON THE BIG BIKE
WITH TRAINING WHEELS, AND BOY, IS HE FAST!!!

AND NOW WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!

OKAY......many of you probably know Jason really wanted me to try homeschooling Jordan this year and I was so against homeschooling, I mean, I"m a teacher for goodness gracious! lol....Well, all the more, Jason would reply =) Anyways my heart softened A LOT over the last few months and I was actually looking forward to the first day, and so was JORDAN. He was telling everyone that his mommy was going to be his teacher (his neighbor friends just looked at him so funny, like they didn't understand what he was talking about----he even announced in the dugout at his last baseball game in the park district, I WAS SO EMBARRASSED and PROUD at the same time!!) Jordan did GREAT and he loved coming down to this on Monday morning. I suprised him with alot of school supplies, charts, balloons etc. I can still hear him on that first morning, it was so cute, it was a very satisfying WOW, LOOK AT THIS!!!!

The week went well. Jordan is learning and remembers so much from K-5 its been pretty easy so far--I wonder when it'll get hard for him, ha ha.......ask me at Christmas how its still going =) lol

I did get Jared a book and he paints/colors and will start all his letters and numbers soon. He also loves preschool and his work. He is done in about 15 minutes. ha! Jaden, on the other hand, wants to do everything his older brothers are doing so I am needing to get used to that...hopefully after a few weeks he'll just go and start playing with his things.....we'll see!!

We made it to Friday with smiles still on our faces =)

Heather, I understand fully what a big undertaking this is--I'm really proud of you! I hope that everything goes smoothly--I may be coming to you for tips in the future, depending on how Col's school works out!
