A happy birthday goes out to my sister-in-law Tami! Hope you have a wonderful day!
AND.......you ask what in the world happened? Yes, this is what we've been up to lately or should I be correct and say my husband has been up to :) We had a leak from a really bad storm early in January when it was almost 70 degrees here in Chicagoland (unheard of). We needed to fix it before our open house last Sunday. While fixing the paint (leak etc) we had a minor incident with our cabinet! Yes, while painting above the cabinet, the paint can was hoisted on top of the cabinet and while our friend was painting he lightly leaned on the cabinet and it totally FELL, broke everything underneath the cabinet--actually shredded everything--and can you believe there were only 3 screws holding that thing up. Needless to say, it now has about 7 screws in it and it looks great back up on the wall, no paint spilled (unbelievable) and the cabinet itself was okay!
The leak---painted/drywalled/still drying....So sorry, I can't believe I didn't get an "after" picture. It all looks SO good right now. Way to go Jason and Kurt~
Update on our house.........
*******We had a realtor luncheon at our house today for any realtors from Coldwell Banker that could make it from the surrounding areas....... held by our (friend) realtor, Rick. Well, 21+ realtors showed up and Rick said thats unheard of. I guess they all loved our home and said they think it will be bought within the next few weeks!! We also had some showings today...which we are averaging like 5-8 showings a week now! The boys are getting used to getting in the van, going for a ride, then to McDonalds for a milk shake and back to our home to "scout" or in other terms, BE NOSY, as to see who was just in our home!! Its hilarious, we make a game out of it and play hide and seek when cars go by or when the people leave--reminding you, we are 2 houses down, parked on the side of the road just waiting for the realtors/homebuyers to leave! Jaden is usually sleeping during all of this so it works out and Jason has yet to be with us when this all happens--its always during his practices or games, lucky guy!! All the feedback from the "homebuyers/realtors" is great. Many people ask tons of questions and want to know more. Many say they really want it and love it, but we just wait til they make an offer (before we get too excited) "been there, done that"--we are actually hoping to get more than one offer, guess we'll see with the way the market is these days!!! On a side note---I seriously dont' think its a problem getting the house spotless for people to see or getting the boys into the van and out of the house, but I think its taking a toll on me after the first full week of it all and I'm usually not a complainer by any means when I'm not feeling good. My body is just wearing down and I"m getting headaches alot b/c I'm constantly on my feet and on the go. This stuff is alot of work, let me tell ya:) I do know the Lord knows what I can handle so I'm not going to worry about it, there are numerous scripture verses the Lord has placed in my heart to meditate on when times get tough so thank you Lord for allowing me to think of you more and to truly remember to rely solely on YOU!!
AND, last but not least...............for all you CRAFTERS out there, you gotta see what Mom Boe made for Jaden. Aren't they just the cutest bibs you ever did see!! I hate getting them dirty with baby food!! I just LOVE them and had to share!!!

Heather,
We had to sell a house a few years ago - I know the stress! Though I only had one child then...can't imagine going through all that with 3! :)
LOVE the bibs...and they are a good size...I hate those itty bitty tiny bibs that hardly cover anything!

AWww I am glad you are having fun with the whole process!!! That should make it so much easier and the boys will always remember it!!!
I remember Gray had a bib like that when he was little.I always thought it was the neates thing...way to go Mom Boe!!!
man heather, you sound a bit on the busy side! we are always home if you want to bring the boys over to play during the whole process. or just to come over and relax for a bit! I have a downstairs that could stand to be trashed a bit! my whole house is trashed by the adults in this house right now so why not the toys too? your boys probably need to release some energy with having to keep up a clean house lately??? whenever...
Heather,
Sorry it has taken me so long to say HI. It was great to hear from you. Your boys are adorable!! I understnad completely what you mean about house selling. Ours just went on the market last week. I'm trying to pack while making the house still look perfect. Hopefully it will sell soon.
We are moving to the Geneva area. Well, at least that's where Alex's job is with the Kane county Cougars. We are looking at many areas! We are so excited!
How far away are you from Geneva? We would love to see you and Jason! By the way-I love how you make selling your house so fun for the boys! Talk to you later.
Heather,
First of all....longest post ever? Apparently you haven't seen some of my posts! :-) LOL
I love those bibs...I have a couple of them and would love to get my hands on some more. They cover so much! Jaden's are especially adorable!
The pics of the boys are great. Jaden is getting so big. Doesn't time just fly by? I can remember when you were waiting for his arrival--seems like just a few days ago!
I will pray for your sanity in the whole house selling thing. We had to pack in a major rush when we sold our house a little over a year ago. It went on the market and sold in three weeks! And Shane was working like crazy, so I did most of it myself. Awful! But we all survived (though I was minus one child then--you have one up on me!) and you all will too. I will pray for a quick sell--the house looks great!
Love and prayers,
Devin
