Gone Fishin'

Last week, I called Heather up, and asked her if she could drop the boys off at the Minooka Pond. Jordan had been asking if he could fish with my Outdoor Ed class, and I wanted to give him the opportunity to show off his skills with his superman fishing pole. He did just that. He caught his first big fish, a 2 0r 3 lbs. small mouth bass (first picture shown below). He then showed up all my students by catching the largest crappie (pronounced crop-ee for all you non fishermen/women). It was a beautiful fish, as the picture shows. We were fishing with minnows, and had a bucket of them on the shore for the students. Though Jared didn't do any real fishing, he was so kind in catching the minnows in the bucket for all the students. Most of the girls were grossed out by it, so he helped them overcome their fear. They kept saying, "If a 3 year old can touch the little fishies, I can too." I couldn't let these pictures go without you all catching a glimpse. I was too happy for Jordan!
